On October 29, 2025, Nature Medicine published the statement of the World Health Summit (WHS) Academic Alliance — of which Sapienza University of Rome is a member — calling for a renewed commitment to the following principles, which our Faculty strongly upholds:
- Define, respect, and safeguard academic freedom
- Strengthen international collaboration and multilateral institutions
- Combat misinformation and rebuild trust in science
Without academic freedom and genuine international cooperation, we cannot overcome global health challenges.
