Eugenio Gaudio, International council guest member of the Virchow Foundation, it is a pleasure to announce that the prestigious Virchow Prize has been awarded for 2024 to Lucy Gilson (University of Cape Town, South Africa - London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK) and Johan Rockström (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Germany) "for their holistic and systems-based approach safeguarding human and planetary health"
